CUSTOM ORDERS
-
Custom orders can be based on an existing VRAIXLUNE style or something completely your own. I’ve designed a wedding dress based off of someone’s favorite going out top before. We will collaborate, either remotely or in person, if you are in Southern California, to design something that is completely YOU.
-
Allow a minimum of 6 months (for a heavily modified base) with an average of 9-12 months for full custom. The sooner you reach out the better. This will be dependent on how quickly we decide a final fabric, sourcing, and revisions.
-
Consultation, a few starting sketches, 1-2 revisions of final sketch before patternmaking begins. A maximum of 3 fittings, if need be. Full fabric and notion sourcing by designer, unless you have something you’d like to rework (an heirloom, vintage). Patternmaking and start to finish production. Alterations, if local, will be completed at final fitting.
-
Dependent on the scope of work, number of fittings or alterations made, number of consults or revisions to concept, materials, etc. But you will have a quote with a detailed estimation to sign off on before any production begins, in which case if you choose to not proceed, there will be an hourly rate of $75/hr applied to prior meetings and concepts. We ask kindly that you do not take the sketches to be produced elsewhere :)

Full custom is completely head to toe designed for you. From the silhouette to the fabrics to even small details like hand embroidery or antique trims.
Modified custom would be reworking one of our pre-existing Vraixlune silhouettes into a special one-off. We might be adding sleeves, making it a mini, or even mashing up the bodice from one with the skirt from another.

I love vintage and antique gowns and have sourced them for many years. I’m happy to source one for you, based on your preferences (size, decade, color, material, etc.) I’m also happy to rework a design a vintage gown you already own, whether it is an heirloom or something you found. Examples of this are adding or changing the top or bottom half, adding or removing sleeves, or completely modernizing a silhouette but working with the materials of the original.
